Experience it

Experience it!

There are plenty of doors in the world, it's just a matter of opening one to find out and experience new things.  If you are curious about events or activities that are part of our community, we encourage you to try them, and yes, this is the right place to get a taste of who we are.

There is no commitment about taking over the whole ministry, or being a coordinator; these are simply events you can be part of and connect with other parishioners or maybe just reach out and help others in need.

Christmas Sharing Tree

This wonderful project was started here at our parish,  and brings Christmas to many households!!

If you are interested in helping out, you can come and help make paper ornaments, keep an eye on the bulletin starting December.

The project involves your entire family.

Just pick up the instructions from the common area when available and make a selection of a few “ornaments” from the Sharing Trees in the Commons, shop for the gifts, and return them to church with the ornament firmly attached.

Reminder: each ornament has a number assigned to a particular family/person, so it is important to have all of the gifts returned by the deadline, so that they all can be delivered.

Then on Monday after the deadline, we will sort and deliver the gifts. Lots of people of all ages are needed at 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to do this.

This a very rewarding program for all, and makes a huge difference!

Anyone interested in helping should contact our parish coordinator, Sylvia at 651-687-0575.

Coming again in February, 2018!
This is a special dinner where married couples can renew their vows with a general blessing. It is on a Saturday after the 5:00 pm Mass, and then it is on to some camaraderie and good food, some fun with “wedding bloopers”, and door prizes. Bonus – free child care!

The cost is usually around $50 per couple, plus a bottle of wine (or non-alcoholic alternative) to share.  If the cost presents a hardship please come and speak with us as our parish motto is “All are Welcome”. And, if you are married less than a year, we want you to join us as our treat.

Mothers day flower Planting

For Mother’s Day, all of the Children’s Liturgy groups will honor mothers by planting Marigolds along the flower beds at the south entrance and around the patio.

With the help of volunteer teens (grades 6-12), they will plant flowers and wash dirty hands during the normal children’s liturgy time. Children will also mark the area they planted, so stop out after Mass and enjoy their handiwork.

We ask for parishioners help by bringing in flowers to plant. Any quantity of any type of Marigold is welcome.   Anyone can donate a few or as much as a flat of  Marigolds by bringing them to the South patio on Saturday evening (previous to Mother's Day).
