Be an Altar Server
Training session at 10:00 am on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
Are you interested in learning how to serve at Mass?
We need you! Serving at Mass is open to children ages 5th grade and above, as well as teens and adults. We will set up a training time that works for you, make sure you are comfortable every step of the way, and then make sure you have an experienced server with you the first couple of times you serve at Mass. Schedules are set around dates you are available.
Sound good?
Please reach out to Wendy at [email protected] or our Lead Server, Sheila Stei at [email protected] or 651-470-3541. Sheila will be offering a training session between Masses on Sunday, September 29. Please let her or Wendy know if you plan to attend or need to make arrangements for a different date.
WHO CAN SERVE: Anyone from the 5th grade through adulthood. There is no upper age limit.
WHAT WOULD I DO: Light candles, carry the cross in procession, hold the Presider’s book when he prays or blesses, help to set the altar table and clear it during communion and help with any other special rituals at Mass.
WHEN CAN I TRAIN: 10:00 am on Sunday, October 13, 2024.
WHAT IF I’M NERVOUS: New servers will be assigned with experienced servers.
ANOTHER SPECIAL THING ABOUT SERVING: This is a good family ministry as siblings can serve together as well as teams of parent and son or daughter.
WHERE DO I SIGN UP: email Wendy at [email protected]
