Purpose of Position:
To be a welcoming presence to all who come to donate blood. Register those giving blood and follow the Red Cross information. Take care to stock the canteen and serve those who are given a little treat.

Responsibilities:
Register and greet those who come to give blood. Serve a snack to donors when they are finished. Be on time for your shift.

Purpose of Position:
To help people understand that depression is real, and hope is real tooDescription: Regular meetings are held at churches that are part of the coalition that volunteer their space. Churches take turns hosting speaker evenings. The STB volunteer coordinates with other churches in coalition to assist in event planning.

Purpose of Position:
The Funeral Luncheon Coordinators ensure a successful funeral luncheon for St. Thomas Becket parishioners and guests.

This position directly supports all aspects of the St. Thomas Becket mission statement and multiple Values. Specifically, funeral luncheons represent our goal to love, to serve and to be hope to those mourning friends and loved ones at a funeral luncheon. Additionally, this position supports the Values of Welcome and Hope by being a visual representation that all are welcome and sharing the light of hope with all guests.
Responsibilities:
Provide warm welcome to funeral luncheon guests and volunteers; plan and organize food donations and volunteers; verify and coordinate the procurement of supplies; coordinate access to the facility; coordinate facility set-up and take-down with staff and volunteers; coordinate with catering companies as appropriate; coordinate special requests with family of deceased; and arrange for disposition of leftovers.

The Lector assists the Lead with Word/Communion services offered at Senior Living retirement communities and assists the priest when mass is offered.
Connection to Parish Mission Statement:
The Inver Glen Ministry lector helps provide word/communion services and masses for seniors, many of whom have no means of getting to mass or a word/communion service to receive the Eucharist. Our service brings love and hope to these seniors.
Responsibilities:
Help at one word/communion service or mass a month. Help setup the altar, greet attendees and give them a name tag, read the Old Testament or Epistle scriptures and the psalm, read the Prayers of the Faithful, share the sign of peace, help distribute communion and hand out bulletins.When helping with mass, pickup and return items needed from church, set up the altarand return all items left at Inver Glen to their storage bin.

Responsibilities:
Fully lead entire word/communion service once a month. Read scripture readings appropriate for day.Prepare a reflection for the service. Provide communion to attendees. Pick up and return items needed for the service from STB. Help setup the altar at retirement community and return all items left at facility to their ownstorage bin.

Purpose of Position:
Schedule our pastor or weekend associate to preside at mass at Inver Glen Senior Living, a retirement center, on the first Tuesday of the month at 10am. Schedule one Inver Glen team member to assist at the mass and two team members, a Lead and a Lector, to cover the word/communion services for the month.
Connection to Parish Mission Statement:
We are serving the residents of this community by providing mass once a month and word/communion services once a week the remaining weeks of the month. Many of the residents have no means of getting to mass or a word/communion service to receive the Eucharist. Our services bring love and hope to these seniors.
Responsibilities:
Contact our pastor to verify that he will be able to say mass on the first Tuesday of the month at 10am at Inver Glen. If he is not available, see if our weekend associate is able to do it. If not, inform the Inver Glen activities director that the first Tuesday of the month will be a word/communion service so she can inform the residents. Contact Inver Glen Ministry team members to have them indicate their availability to help at mass and word/communion services for the month. Schedule team members.
Remind presider to add an annual anointing service and penance service with Mass.
