God's Word for Kids

God's Word for Kids is an age-appropriate faith-sharing activity during the first part of Mass.

The children sing, pray, hear a Bible story, talk about the story, and do a craft project. The children are invited up to the front of the Church after the opening prayer, are blessed and sent by the assembly, and depart as a group with volunteer adult and teen leaders. They return before the celebration of Eucharist.

God's Word for Kids  provides the same Sunday readings heard at Mass by the assembly and gives the child an opportunity to grow in their faith with age-appropriate faith-sharing and prayers. We know that the Word of God is a living Word and our children have a chance to reflect upon it and interact with it in a way that makes sense to them. The children are invited up to the front of the church after the opening prayer, are blessed and sent by the assembly, and depart as a group with volunteer adult and teen leaders.  They return before the celebration of Eucharist.
