Life is complicated enough; you shouldn't have to dig for volunteer signups....
- Seeing the Bigger Picture
Do you have gifts for big picture design or working with details? The Parishioner Engagement Council (PEC) is looking for additional members to build our culture of inviting all to share their gifts in service to others.
If you like to think in terms of changing or improving a culture, this is a ministry for you. Hands on projects are also in need of help, such as creating and updating databases, supporting welcoming processes, encouraging classes to explore talents and strengths are some of our projects.
Contact Judy Urban at judyurbansm@netscape.net for information. Come build with us.
- Be a Baptism Attendant:
Our Baptism ministers provide a welcoming celebration of initiation to the Church for infants and young children and their families at Baptism ceremonies. At each Baptism, attendants prepare materials prior to the ceremony, assist the presider during the ceremony and clean up after the service. The Baptism attendant is also a point of contact and support person for the family on the day of the service.
All training is provided and new Baptism attendants shadow experienced attendants before serving alone. Baptism attendants spend about 90 minutes 2-3 times per year in this ministry.
If you want to be a welcoming presence to our newest members of the Church and their families, we welcome you to this ministry. CLICK HERE
