Mass of Remembrance
A Month to Remember
November’s Traditions
As we pray together in the month of November, the Church invites us to special liturgies and ways to honor our beloved dead.
Friday November 1
FEAST OF ALL SAINTS, 5:30 pm where we will sing the Litany of Saints canonized by the Church as well as the 11 people who have died and been buried from STB since last November 1. Purple candles for these members will be on the knee wall (near the baptismal font and the Paschal Candle) and will burn all through the month of November. We ask all of these saints in heaven to pray for us.
Saturday, November 2
MASS OF REMEMBRANCE, 5:00 pm. During this regular 5 pm Mass, all who attend will be invited to name and light a votive candle for their deceased loved ones after the homily.
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE
Any time in the month of November, you are invited to write the names of your beloved dead in our Book of Remembrance which will be enthroned next to the Paschal Candle.
FRAMED PHOTOS
You are invited to bring photos of your deceased loved ones and place them on the V wall, near the livestreaming camera. Please wait until November 1 before bringing in your loved one’s photo and plan to leave it with our community through the month of November until the last Sunday of Ordinary Time - the Feast of Christ the King—celebrated on November 23rd and 24th this year.
Please label the back of your photo with your contact information.
